"We moved. Moving your household is a stressful process. Last summer we left our beautiful two-story home, close to downtown in the suburbs, to a rural fixer-upper. It was a smaller one-story, very ugly 70's original. The upside? This diamond-in-the-rough was on Willow Lake. All the lovely birds, carefully drawn and stitched in the Willow Lake quilt, live right in my backyard. "Swany" has a unique relationship with my little dog. The Mallards, Canadian Geese, Great Egrets, and so many more delta birds are a delight to watch from our back deck. Our dock is rickety and looks in worse shape than the appliqué block! One more thing to fix, of course, but our hearts are full. We are content in our backyard, enjoying this lush wildlife."
