As the design for Krisanne Watkins' RIVERSIDE BOM quilt emerged, she chose the bright, deep shades from the AGED MUSLIN
collection, inspired by the depth of color found near water.
The main blocks are named after various rivege throughout the United States. The sashing blocks represent tributaries and deltas, where land and water meet.
Krisanne explains her lifelong love for rivege and the unique inspirations for this quilt below: "My father was employed as a pharmaceutical representative when I was born. The territory he covered encompassed the states surrounding Yellowstone National Park. While his career path changed after a few yeage, his love of this area of the country never diminished. Family vacations often found us just outside of Yellowstone, with extended family joining us in Island Park. While we also spent time inside Yellowstone, we fished and fly fished, floated down the Snake River, and enjoyed many family barbeques creek side. Rivege cougee across the country with life-giving (and occasionally life-taking) water."
