Marcus Brothers "Gardens" Grow for Spring '06

In keeping with Marcus Brother's well-earned reputation for beautifully designed floral collections, Faye Burgos continues her popular "Gardens" series with two beautiful new looks for Spring 2006, CAFÉ GARDENS and GINGER GARDENS. Both could be considered updated classics, with fresh color palettes that give wider appeal to the traditional flowers.

CAFÉ GARDENS takes its color cue from the indulgence of a cup of coffee - think latte, cafe au lait and whipped cream, comforting and "yummy", and with no calories! The quiet tones of brown, cream and peach-tinted neutrals create a gentle mood, a soothing departure from the season's brighter, high-contrast palettes. The group is designed for use on its own, and also blends in easily with a quilter's existing stash, adding interest to any creative project.

GINGER GARDENS combines fresh, fluid artwork with a global influence and a new take on the popular red and sage green combination. For a touch of the unexpected, these tones are now spiced with pink and gold yellow accents. The result is a modern yet timeless look with a less serious tone that is sure to attract the younger customer as much as the conventional quilter.

Both collections are anchored by pretty large-scale florals, then highlighted by contemporary coordinates, including polka dots in new combinations, a pretty wedding-ring bouquet, romantic, scrolling paisleys, and stripes in fine line and novelty effects. All of the patterns blend beautifully for quilts as well as other home décor accents, personal accessories, memory crafting projects and more.
