Antique Cotton: Old Green Calicos
Pam Buda adds to her signature bricks and browns (temporarily!) to create a look inspired by the prairie land itself -- trees, plants, dried grasses (greens) and the occasional river or stream (blues).
Pam's inclusion of tiny florals adds a homey touch to otherwise rustic surroundings. After making the long, arduous trip across the plains and prairie, pioneers anxiously sought to stake their claim. Their prairie homes were surrounded by trees and dried prairie grasses, and if they were lucky, a river or stream. OLD GREEN CALICOS was inspired by the greens of the plants and prairie grasses, and the blues of nearby running waters found on their homestead, with tiny flowers, geometric swirls, and leafy prints making the collection a very homey mix. You'll love mixing these themed prints with Pam's other prairie-inspired collections...or use these exclusively for a different statement. Available in quilt shops January 2016.
