Hill Country HeritageInspiration is everywhere -- an antique quilt, a simple block, a piece of fabric. Paula's inspiration for the Hill Country Heritage collection was an elegant antique border stripe. She adapted the original design so it could be creatively cut for both the vertical sashing and outside border. Rich in blues, reds, browns and creams, the antique swatch provided the color palette for the fabric collection. Prints in indigo to cadet blue, madder to Turkey red, soft creams and rich browns complement the historical border stripe.

The Hill Country Heritage BOM quilt designed by Paula Barnes and Mary Ellen Robison features a vertical row setting, with a wide center row of 10" blocks flanked on either side by two rows of 5" blocks and sashing from the border stripe. Both traditional and triangle paper methods are used to create the quilt, and to simplify the construction process, Red Crinoline Quilts has again teamed with Liz Eagan of Spinning Star Designs. The Star Single HST papers and acrylic template will be included in Month 1 of the customer patterns. Techniques for insuring an accurate " seam allowance will be included for the shop owner in the shop kit and for the customer in the Month 1 pattern. In addition, tips and recommendations on tools for making the piecing and cutting process easier will also be included! Quilt Size approx. 86" x 89"
