A Block-of-the-Month Program by Pam Buda
Travel back to a time when America's pioneers rode horse and wagon over the Oregon Trail. Their strong desire to settle the West and homestead is rich in history, and Conestoga Crossing presents fabrics of that era, along with interesting anecdotal stories of the trail experience.
The quilt center features a large red star, surrounded by Flying Geese and eight sampler blocks in shades of reds, blues, greens, golds and black. Log Cabin chain blocks surround the quilt center, and an array of basket blocks join together to create a stunning frame.
Participants will enjoy short stories about what life was like preparing for the trail, what happened while on the trail, as well as the dreams of pioneers once they arrived at their homestead.
Program begins January 2017.
